User login tracking - Smart View

HyperionNewbieOct 13 2016 — edited Oct 13 2016

Hi All,

For Planning, I know it is difficult to tracking user login information. We can enable Audit tracking for application and User with Planner access (Assuming would make data changes, etc) can be logged in HSP_AUDIT_RECORDS table. Now, with Planner access assuming that user would only navigate data forms, or just login then we are not going to get the login info in Audit table. Also, for users who are part of Read only groups are never going to have an entry in Audit table.

In order to overcome this, I believe we can use workspace login from V8_USAGE_EVENT table which can track user logins.

Other important source of Connection is Smart View. So if user is accessing data forms either with read/write access or just making a connection will never make it to HSP_AUDIT_RECORDS table right? Is thereĀ  any APS /SSO tableĀ  which can give us smart view login info similar to workspace/bi logins?

Regards,

Naresh
