user_io_wait_time

this sort of relates to my pervious thread here: https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2567132

I notice a lot of time being spent in user_io_wait_time but I can't seem to find good info online on how to dissect this time to see what is driving this number. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction to dissect this?
