Use Oracle 8.1.7's Apache to access WebDB

5855Nov 26 2003 — edited Nov 26 2003
Hello

We have an an Oracle 8.1.7 database that has a WebDB schema and a schema that contains a WebDB application. Is it possible to use Oracle 8.1.7's Apache server and modplsql (by creating a WebDB DAD in the gateway fonfiguration menu) to access WebDB and this application?

We are currently using 9iAS to access WebDB and the application, but we wonder if Oracle 8.1.7's Apache server and modplsql is sufficient for the purpose. A part from whether it is possible, would there be any security or performance problem?

Many thanks for any suggestion.
