Use of Archivelogs in GRP (Guaranteed Restore Point)

Hi Team,

Please help me to understand the use of archivelog files in GRP.

For Flashback database, the changed blocks are copied to flashback logs at some interval of time, hence having the archivelog files helps to get into specfic point in time.

In GRP, what ever the blocks are changes, the image copy is stored only once, hence what is the need of archive log files.
