Use Citrix Metaframe for Unix instead of VNC for X server?

402872Apr 23 2004 — edited Apr 30 2004
I had originally set up 9iAS on a Solaris server using VNC for the requisite X server function. About ready to move it into production, and our client has raised objection that VNC is "not supported", and they are insisting that Citrix's MetaFrame Presentation Server for Unix (MFU) is a properly supported replacement for VNC. So far I have not been able to find in the Citrix admin guide any mention of providing X services (just the Citrix ICA protocol instead of the X protocol), and indeed, some tidbits turned up by a Google search seem to indicate that MFU itself needs an X server! Am I missing something?

TIA,
ROC
