usb pen or flash memory drives for solaris x86

807559Feb 15 2004 — edited Feb 26 2004
I'm trying to find a USB pen drive (also known as a flash memory drive) that works with my pc running Solaris. I tried a SanDisk Cruzer Mini 128MB drive. The kernel recognises the drive as a mass storage device, but it won't mount it or create a block device file for it. Also it has a tendency to crash my machine.

My pc is running an unpatched copy of Solaris x86, the 1/01 release. Is there a pen drive that will work with this release, or do I need to upgrade to a later release?
