Urgent - HFM 11.1.2.3.500 Issue (White Screen)

Hi All,


We are receiving the below issue every now and then.  The only solution seems to be refreshing the Hyperion services which is not a sustainable solution.  We have been given a temporary solution (opening other applications and clearing cookies – see docid below) but it doesn’t seem to work all of the time.  If I was to guess, it appears that this comes after there has been considerable activity (ie. month-end, year-end, etc.).  Although, we just got it today after having refreshed yesterday morning.

The symptoms are that a user opens an HFM application (or Consolidation Administration) and it just opens a blank page (see attached pix).  When you try to log-off from Workspace, you get the below error ‘An error was encountered when closing all content’.  This only happens for HFM and Consolidation Administration.  FDMEE, Reports and Shared Services aren’t affected by this.

This issue typically affects multiple users but not all of them all the time.  So we may get a complaint that someone is experiencing this but then we’ll try and won’t have an issue.  Other times, it seems like all of us are affected by it.

Oracle came back with this but it doesn’t always work and it’s not something we can tell our 200+ users in the field to do:

Error "An error was encountered while closing all contents" Appears While Logging Off From Workspace After Three or More modules Are Closed. (Doc ID 1093304.1)

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.
