Upload a file into FDM and output another file.

Greetings,
I went through the admin guide and some of the user's doc on FDM, but cannot seem to be able to something very simple. I went though several tries, including upsshell.exe, but have not succeeded yet.

I'm trying to automate the talk of IMPORT in FDM. It's works fine interactively. Basically, I need to schedule a process to import into FDM a fairly large file, and to generate another text file based on the input file. The output file is reduced in size.

I know there are these events I can use, but I cannot trigger their calls, and am not sure if I'm barking up the right tree.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
