Our task is to upgrade Oracle Forms to 12.2.1.4.0.
The current version of 12.2.1.2.0 is running on a Windows 2019 machine. For the out-of-place upgrade another machine has been allocated. As far as I know, we are not copying the existing Domain to the new machine
We need to install the following on the new Windows server -
- JDK 8u 281
- FMW Infrastructure 12.2.1.4.0
- Forms and Reports 12.2.1.4.0
The existing repository database was recently upgraded to 19c.
This is first time upgrading Forms so I have a few questions -
- Since we have a database with the Schemas already in place, do we need to run RCU in the new machine after 12.2.1.4.0 installation?
- If not, how do we go about upgrading the schemas ?
- Do we “configure” a new Domain after the installation or copy the existing 12.2.1.2.0 Domain to the new server and run Reconfiguration wizard ?
- About the custom Forms and Libraries on the existing 12.2.1.2.0 environment, can they be copied over to the new server ?
