Upgrading Oracle EBS from 12.1.3 to 12.2.7

Hello,

In my Company, we are intending to upgrade our Oracle EBS applications from 12.1.3 to 12.2.7 but we still doing some Planing and Analysis.

The IT Manager asked us to provide him with the following points (in High Level format):

  1. why we need to upgrade to 12.2.7 release and not to continue with the current release 12.1.3 ?.
    • what are the Business Justifications and Benefits ?
    • Reasons for the change and areas that benefit from new functionality.
  2. What are the Business Impact and Functional Changes from 12.1.3 to 12.2.7 ?
    • Functionality or process behavior changed from 12.1.3 to 12.2.7.
    • Functionality that is temporarily disabled or has been made obsolete.
    • Changes to user interfaces, terminology or concepts, and menu options.
