upgrading IAM to 11gR2 PS3/higher version

Hi,

We have 2 different domains for OIM and OAM, which are on 11gR2 PS2. Now we would like to upgrade to PS3.

I have few queries circling in my head

  -- Ideally, we need to upgrade both should be upgraded to same version, but

1) Can we upgrade only OIM to PS3 and leave OAM on PS2 ( No OIM-OAM integration).  ?

2) When OIM-OAM are integrated, can we upgrade only one and keep the other on PS2 ?

What are things to keep in mind during OAM upgrade ?

Any useful links or documents will greatly help.
