upgrade solaris 10 to solaris 11

TamerElkadiJul 20 2018 — edited Jul 21 2018

hello

we have a solaris 10 ldom on a T5-4 using ZFS (thankfully) and need to upgrade it to solaris 11.

If there is another approach than the one mentioned below, please provide any suggestions

we have a solaris 10 ldom on a T5-4 using ZFS (thankfully) and need to upgrade it to solaris 11.

searching the internet, we found that we simply create a snapshot and restore it on a new disk.

And the new disk should have solaris 11 installed on it.

Thats what we did, but now booting from the new disk (solaris 11) we have 2 boot environments and the active one is the fresh installation.

when we try to activate the boot environment we encounter the following errors:

root@solaris:~# beadm list
