Upgrade from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3
OldGuyMay 7 2012 — edited May 7 2012We are currently running in production Oracle DBMS 11.2.0.1 on RHEL5.6. We have been looking at the CPUs (Critical Patch Update) for 11.2.0.1... but all we can find are CPUs for 11.2.0.2 or 3. This begs a few questions... 1) are there CPUs for 11.2.0.1? 2) if not, then how do we upgrade from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2 or 3?
What I have found thus far indicates that the 11.2.0.2 and 3 are not patches but require a complete install with separate Oracle Homes, etc... This is not what we want.
Has anyone upgraded to 11.2.0.3 from 11.2.0.1? If so, difficulty? Requirements? Steps? Docs? Does it really require a complete install and new Oracle home?
