Update ODBC driver for existing DSN (Oracle @ Windows)

Hi everyone,

i admit this is more a Windows than an Oracle problem, but i don't hope for much help from the Microsoft forum as this problem doesn't appear for SQL Server.

I have a middle-tier server which is setup with a lot of ODBC connections to all our R&D databases. Removing the Oracle 9i Client deletes the ODBC driver. Installing 10g installs a new driver, but under a different name. My problem is to update all existing DSN's without dropping and re-entering all the connection information. A workaround is renaming the driver to the old 9i name, but this is not very nice. Apparently change it through the registry doesn't work well or i just haven't done it right.

Anyone running Oracle @ Windows using ODBC, who can point me into the right direction??

Thanks heaps.
