Unzip or install using .rpm file ; Which is better ?

MaxJan 19 2021 — edited Jan 27 2021

Operating system: Oracle Linux 8.3
Oracle RDBMS version: 19c (19.3 for Linux x86_64)

From 18c, I have noticed that Oracle provides 2 options to install Oracle RDBMS software. Either by unzipping the .zip file or by installing (dnf or yum) it from the .rpm package.
Which is better ? Or Which is more common in the industry ? Or is it just personal preference ?

BTW, for installing Grid Infrastructure, Oracle only provides the .zip option. Why is that ?
