Unlock system Account

aromaniSep 30 2008 — edited Oct 1 2008
Hello.

The system account is locked (ORA-28000) ...

I've read some tips to unlock it, for example:

Connect as dba run "alter user system account unlock;" .
I've read that a "grant connect, resource to scott;" is this step mandatory ?
If yes, what about the others permissions ?

(Please note that my db is the one installed with the Oracle BI Standard Edition 1. During the installation I've specified only one password for all the requested users ... and these passwords where set in differente places ... so is it enough just unlocking the system user ? Or I need something else ? )

Please can someone help me and tell me the right way to get my goal ?

Many thanks,
Andrea
