Universal Installer disappears after first page

I' trying to install Oracle Client 8i on a XP machine using client installation CD. Whan I double click the cd, the first page of Universal Installer will show up. But when I click Install Products, the window disappears. I have tried many times, still the same.

But I'm sure the cd is working properly since I tried on other XP machines.

Any body know what maybe the reason?
