Unique constraint error

548115Nov 24 2006 — edited Nov 24 2006
Hi,

I'm have a problem that I wanted to see if anyone has any advice on.

I'm an application administrator where I work. The only responsibility we have for Discoverer is to import business areas and workbooks into test and production systems. The developers do all the exporting.

We have multiple test servers for multiple production systems. I have imported a new business area into the (9) test systems. All went fine. When I attempted to import the business area into the production systems, all but 2 went fine. The business area I'm importing does not exist on the new production environment. The error I received was:
'Database Error - ORA-00001: unique constraint (DIS_EUL.EUL5_EXP_PK) violated. It got this in import stage 3 or 4, and after 28 of them were done.

As for the import, in the options, I do tell it to Refresh the existing object. The objects are matched up by identifier.

I looked at the EUL5_EXP_PK table, saw the unique index on EUL5_expressions on the exp_id. However, I don't know how to resolve the error from here.

I looked on this forum for any information. The one I got was a thread entitled 'Importing Business Area Unique Constraint error' posted Aug 16, 2006 by disco2424. The suggestion for the same error I get is to see if one of the identifiers of the folder has the same name as on a folder of the target EUL. Is there any way to easily check for this? We have several business areas out there, lots of folders.

Thanks,

Victoria
