Uninstalling Provider for OLEDB from 11203g database installation

I have a 32-bit application which needs to run on a 64-bit server which already has 64-bit database installed. I therefore need to install the 32-bit OLEDB provider.

The database installation already includes the provider and I have tried to uninstall, but it still appears in the list of available providers and the registry contains references to that installation. Installing the 32-bit client version has no effect. It doesn't seem to update the registry and the provider doesn't appear in the 32-bit data link editor.

Any clues?

Windows 2008 R2 64-bit
Oracle DB 11.2.0.3 64-bit
Oracle client 11.2.0.332-bit.
