Undo tablespace size too big

hi!
in our Oracle 10g R2 DB on Unix platform,
we have Apps R12 as well,
and we had to increase the Undo TS to 300 GB to enable data upload and concurrent request to complete normal.
But the problem we are facing is the DB is not shutting down immediate or normal.
Only abort is completing,
Please help to rectify this situation.
