Unable to view data when using Excel as a data source
Greetings all,
I am running OBIEE 11.1.1.5 and am trying to use an Excel file as a data source. I have researched numerous posts but I am still not able to view the data. I have been able to import the meta data using the ODBC connection but I have not been able to view the data or update the row count. The data file is physically located on the server.
The only other thing that I think is worth mentioning is when I click on the connection pool and choose "Import Metadata" the connection initially fails. I then accept the error message and change the Import Type on the "Import Metadata - Select Data Source" screen from "Remote Server" to "Local Machine". Once I do this I am good to go. I don't receive that option when I try to view data so I am assuming that I am running into a similar issue.
