Unable to start LISTENER on HP UX

I am trying to start the oracle listener but I encountered error:
TNS-12541: TNS:no listener
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00511: No listener
HPUX Error: 2: No such file or directory

Hope any one can help.
