Unable to see View SQL

I am unable to see the SQL corresponding to a view under the SQL tab when I select the view in the explorer pane on the lect side of SQL Developer. I am able to see the SQL if I use TOAD and connect using the same credentials I use in SQL Developer. So the problem isn't privilege related.

So anyone got a clue why there is this difference in the behavior of the 2 tools?
