I am testing disaster recovery scenario with RMAN and Tape backups.I am using the recovery catalog and can see that controlfile and spfile is being backup every day :
RMAN> LIST BACKUP of controlfile COMPLETED BETWEEN '27-MAY-2014' AND '29-MAY-2014';

I checked RMAN log also which says :
Starting Control File and SPFILE Autobackup at 29-MAY-14
piece handle=c-1175149885-20140529-0c comment=API Version 2.0,MMS Version 5.0.0.0
Finished Control File and SPFILE Autobackup at 29-MAY-14
But when I run the following script :

set dbid=1175149885;
startup force nomount;
ALLOCATE CHANNEL ch1 DEVICE TYPE 'SBT_TAPE'
send 'NSR_ENV=(NSR_SERVER_NIC=backup-rac-1-306.test.com,NSR_CLIENT=ora-rac-1a,NSR_DATA_VOLUME_POOL=DD660VTL)' ;
restore controlfile from 'c-1175149885-20140529-0c' ;
RELEASE CHANNEL ch1;
}
almost with many variations I am getting is almost same i.e it is not finding the controlfile backup :
Starting restore at 29-MAY-14
channel ch00: no AUTOBACKUP in 7 days found
released channel: ch00

RMAN-06172: no AUTOBACKUP found or specified handle is not a valid copy or piece
I verified with some different handles too but even these handles(as listed in RMAN backup LIST output - above) are not useful in restore controlfile :
Any guess why it is not able to find the autobackup ?
PS : send command is same as I used for backup.
