Unable to ping VIP IP address from one of the node.

Hi ,

I am creating database on two node RAC ,While Creating DB through DBCA it fails with error "Error when connecting to asm instance on local node:lo execption .The network adapter could not establish the connection.",I have tried pinging both Public and private network across node sand it is working fine.

When i try to ping VIP of one node i.e "ping rac1-vip",It gives requested time out error.

Any body has solution for above problem.
