Unable to ping Oracle VirtualBox (Guest OS) IP from Windows 2012 R2 Host OS and vice-versa

Hi,

We installed Oracle VirtualBox on Windows 2012 R2 64-bit (host OS). We imported PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 PUM Image 13 onto the Oracle VitualBox and we did follow the required tasks to bootup the PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 PUM Image 13 on Oracle VirtualBox. The network configuration chosen was 'Bridged Adapter'. We chose STATIC IP configuration for Oracle VirtualBox. Both the Host OS Windows 2012 and Oracle VirtualBox are on the same Subnet netmask. PeopleSoft HCM 9.2PUM13 Image is up and running on Oracle VirtualBox.

We could NOT ping the Oracle VirtualBox IP from Host OS and vice-versa.

We could anyways ping both these IPs (Host OS and Guest OS) from our Windows desktop machines.

What are we not able to ping Oracle VirtualBox IP from Host OS and vice-versa?

Note: - We've kept the default settings on Oracle VirtualBox. i.e, firewall on Oracle VirtualBox is NOT enabled.

Regards
Naga
