Unable to launch applet from browser as web start on MAC

We are facing difficulty in launching applet from browser (Safari/Morzilla) as web start on MAC (Mountain 10.8). The same is working fine with all Windows OS (XP/7/Vista).
I have installed the latest Java 7 update 7 on MAC OS. Using java -version I am getting the same but not able to launch the applet from browser. Am I missing some settings here?
We are trying to debug this issue for the past 5 days but no luck :(.

Can somebody help me regarding the same?
