Unable to install grub loader on Oracle Linux 6 via Rescue mode

Hi all,

I am currently doing a test to restore this Oracle Linux 6 Patch 6 VM that was backup via Symantec NetBackup. This VM is hosted on OVM and I am performing a file-level restoration currently.

After creating a new disk /dev/xvdb on the new VM, I proceed to restore all the files to this disk. After this restoration, I proceed to restart this VM and activate the rescue mode.

While running the command "./grub-install --recheck /dev/xvda", I received a message from this tool saying that "there is no corresponding BIOS drives detected."

What does this message means? The device.map file already has the record stating "(hd0)     /dev/xvda".

Does anyone happens to encounter this error? If so, how do you resolve it?

Thanks for reading.
