Unable to index metadata only, collection damaged.

Folks,
I am getting the below on TWO of our UCM 11g servers (with SQL Server 2008R2) -- luckily, they are NOT the production site.

Indexing aborted. Unable to index metadata only. This may indicate the collection is damaged. Indexing aborted. [ Details ]
An error has occurred. The stack trace below shows more information.

I went to try a full reindex, and I get the same issue. Any ideas as to the problem and how to fix it?
