Unable to find tnsnames.ora on Linux

randoogleApr 22 2024

Is this only designed to work with Windows systems? I'm running on a Linux desktop, and I still can't get it to find my tnsnames.ora.

I've removed all but one connection definition, just in case I was running into this: https://forums.oracle.com/ords/apexds/post/vs-code-can-t-find-the-tnsnames-ora-location-0048

But that didn't help, and plus my co-worker on Windows can use the same tnsnames.ora with no problems.

I'm running on the Flatpak version, so there's some extra file permissions I had to grant through Flatseal. I doubt it's that, as I'm able to open the tnsnames file in vscode to edit it.
