Unable to extract jar files

Hello all,

I am not able to extract the jar files. In one of my system, after firing the command "jar -xvf jarfilename.jar", only the manifest file is found to be created. Why the other files are not getting extracted?

Also, in another of my system, it is throwing the error : 'jar' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Please help. Appreciate your help.
