Unable to export file from APEX to Microsoft Excel 2000

Hi All,
I have a query which has altogether 51 fields. I ran that query and developed a report in APEX.But When I tried to download in csv it got stuck...
Can any one guide me is there any limitation of APEX to export large volume of data to csv format..
