Hi,
We are trying to create a user in Oracle Golden Gate in order to replicate Oracle Database in on prem to AWS EC2, but its showing username already exists error, but once we try to login to that user, its showing user invalid.
Kindly clarify.
The first screenshot with below error,
OGG-0352 FAiled to connect to the database
This is something you need to check if you are connecting to the right database. Also, I could see that, you are trying to connect as “gg_admin” in GGSCI and in the database as a different user “C##TSTUSER1”.
For the second screenshot, I am assuming that, you would have created the user “C##TSTUSER1” at PDB level and then trying to create the same user at CDB level. You are hitting the error because, when creating the user, you are using the option “container=all”. Since the user is already present in some PDB, it is throwing this error.
Please login to PDBs and check if this user already exist. If yes, then, please drop the user and then try to create the user at CDB.
Thanks, Veera
