889465Oct 4 2011 — edited Oct 5 2011
Hello friends,
i am unable to create a databse using "DBCA" in oracle enterprise linux 5.

What i did is, i installed oracle 10g release 2, while installing i did't create database, i want to create database.

In DBCA all are fine but at final step after click finish it displaying a message can not create directory '/u01/app/oracle/product/10.20./db_1/cfgtoollogs/dbca/<database name>'

After seeing this message i manually created it, using the following command as root user:

mkdir /u01/app/oracle/product/10.20./db_1/cfgtoollogs/dbca/<database name>

chmod 766 /u01/app/oracle/product/10.20./db_1/cfgtoollogs/dbca/<database name>

but again i am getting the same message.

can any one help me please????
