unable to connect Sqlplus..

Hi,

I have finished the installation of oracle10gR2 on RHEL5.3 After the installation..while i try to connect sqlplus command that in my terminal session i had login as oracle user and give the following command.

$ sqlplus

or

$ sqlplus "/as sysdba"

It shows the error " bash -- command not found "...If any settings need to do after the installation....????
