Unable to access NTFS despite installing NTFS-3G RPM

innocent_intelligenceApr 11 2010 — edited Apr 11 2010
Hi,
I am using OEL 5.4 kernel version 2.6.18-164.el5 (its 64 bit) and i have installed latest RPM from http://www.tuxera.com/ and many other RPMs after googling, but when i try to mount partition /dev/sda3 e.g, i get below error (even with ntfs type etc.)
[root@r12 ~]# mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sda3 /mnt/d
mount: unknown filesystem type 'ntfs-3g'
During Linux installation I checked on all development packages, can any body help me out for this issue. I think I had not left any google link to resolve this problem but I dont find adequate information in my scenario.
