UMT to EET

RengudiAug 12 2011 — edited Aug 19 2011
Hi

I have following update statement

update search set timestampa=:timestampj where conditions;

the timestampa column get updated in UMT format. I need it in EET format. Because UMT I could see the time difference of 3 hours. Which leads wrong calculations at application level.

How can i achieve the same timestamp in EET. I can't alter the table. I have option to change the update statement. How can i achieve the same. Please help

datatype of timestampa column is timestamp(6);

Working oracle 11g R1. AIX 5.3

Thanks
Raj
