Ultrabay HDD (Thinkpad R60) read/write problem

Hi,

I bought an ultrabay slot for HDD. Ocupated it with a 80 GB hdd. But after booting latest sxce release (older had the same problem) I got a long timeout before loginning and also it threw me a lot of read/write errors. The same cofiguration works fine on macosx86 10.5.* or any linux. I would be very glad If I get it running. I can provide logs & etc.
I tried format command but that hanged for several minutes. And I'm not sure if it showed me the second disk.

It should be SATA. But I'll check it out.

Any help is welcome. I'll be back at weekend.
