Tutorial information for Berkeley Index functionality

Hi All ..
Is there any place that we can find some tutorials information for creating Index in my BDB??

I am so crazy with the speed of my application.. when the size of BDB grows upon 100M, i got very bad performance for to fetch a set of date with some conditions...

because of that ..i want to implement the Index functionality to my application for improving the reading speed.

Please anyone help me to find the related technical information.
