Hello,
the code editor in APEX 5 is driving me crazy. Whenever I type quotes (no matter if single or double), it generates also the matching one and the cursor skips among these quotes (the very same with brackets). If I just delete the opening one, the smart editor deletes also the second one. I have no idea why is such behaviour considered as more productive or anything - it's just annoying. Even if I want to create a pair of braces/quotes, I have to put down at the end my hands off from the keyboard and use arrow keys. I finally ended up with using the good old plain text editor but the syntax highlighting is cool, so I would prefer not to give it up.
Any help how to turn off all the smart and helpful features of the new editor and keep just syntax highlighting would be highly appreciated.
