TTF on UNIX - when do fonts get attached?

Hello,

I am trying to use a barcode TTF font on a Linux server. Metalink has several notes on the subject (plus the "Publishing Reports to the Web") but most seem to revolve around Type1 fonts.

I have however got the impression that TTF can be used by a) putting the TTF files on the REPORT_PATH and b) using a PDF:Subset mapping in uifonts.ali. No go, however. Is there any way to debug at what point the barcode gets lost/substituted? I have tried recompiling the rep-file but to no avail, I see no indication of it when I open the PDF file (either in a viewer on the Linux-box or in a text editor).

Any help on using TTF fonts with PDF reports (and printing) that would lead to resolving of my issue would be greatly appreciated
