I'm attempting to make a Coby tablet able to use Google Play and such so certain app's will function though the tablet is already unlocked.
Found a web page with instructions on how to but the programs indicated are no longer out there, primarily the JDK though I did locate one here but the Android Studio keeps giving me '.......does not point to a valid JVM installation'.
I'm using Android Studio (android-studio-bundle-135.1641136) which originally gave me
so I found and installed Java SE Development Kit 8 x64 (jdk-8u25-windows-x64) and despite trying multiple .exe files and a .jar that had visualvm in it, I keep getting
of which only the file name (with the value of ......) changes when I tried a different one.
Also. which do I want this variable in or do I want both?
Now before I potentially do something to foul up my computer, I'm asking those of you that know Java and its variables for assistance in locating the proper file being asked for or directing me to the file I want instead of what I have so I can complete the 'upgrade' to this tablet.
One variable beyond my control unless I repeat the installations on another computer is this laptop got something fouled up to where not everything is apparently where it should be or thinks it is - my files are there but require some effort to locate at times (finally have the funds to replace so I will be soon).
Bought a cheap used tablet instead of a newer that probably had Google abilities already since this tablet will be for a specific job but needs Google abilities to perform it - starting to think I should have bought something else.
For any help you can provide, I thank you in advance.
