Triple mirrored in Normal Redundancy

rchemJan 24 2015 — edited Jan 27 2015

Hello ,

I have noticed my controlfile and backup controlfile are triple mirrored though the diskgroup redundancy is normal only. Extent map also shows each extent is mirrored thrice, also the third disk number is showing a vague number as 65534 , please let me know what does this mean.

CONTROLFILE  HIGH    FINE     OCT 11 16:00:00  Y    current.256.858786763

Virtual extent Physical extent Allocation unit  Disk

-------------- --------------- --------------- ----------

1          3        365     2

Thanks in advance for your time
