Traverse-Folder to be invisible and Dashboard to be visible

Dashboard is saved in folder aa.
User is given access to save their reports in folder bb
My requirement is that the user should not see the folder aa while saving their reports,but the dashboard saved in aa should be visible.For this I gave traverse permission to folder aa but then I receive path not found error when the user logs in to see the dashboard.If i give read permission to folder aa user is able to see the dashboard but then the folder is visible while saving the report...Thanks in advance for spending your valuable time in analysing this...
