Oracle Forms

Hi,

I wish to display a transparent gif image using an image item in Forms 6i and Forms 9i. I have tried (with different settings for image item' properties) but image items seem to not support transparent gif images. In forms 6i, the background (expected as transparent for the gif image) appears to be black, while in Forms 9i, it is white??? (I tried with the same settings for the image item in both Forms 6i and 9i)

However, If I use the same transparent image file as a icon for a iconic push-button, the image is displayed transparently as expected. So I am wondering that transparent gif image only works for a iconic push-button but not for an image item in Form 6i and 9i?

Can anyone help me to solve that problem?
