Java APIs

Hello All,

I have been working on a large program and one part of the program is an Updater. This Updater basically has to download files from a Server that I have set up to any Clients that connect to the Server. My problem is that when I put JAR files onto the Server and a Client goes to download the file through the Socket connection the \y have established... the JAR file becomes corrupted and can't be executed anymore.

Has anyone dealt with transferring Executable JAR files or plain JAR files over a Socket connection?? Can anyone guide me in the right direction? This part of my program is crucial as Clients need to be able to download executable JAR files.....!!
