Trace Files

Hi -
I am currently in a place where I do not (yet) have access to the server so i have 2 issues: 1) accessing the .trc file and 2) using a utility to analyze (locally and preferably without creating new db objects) them.

Is there a way when setting sql_trace and 10046 events to redirect the trace file to a local machine?
I don't see that I can dynamically alter my session for user_dump_dest.

My next issue, assuming I can get the trace file, is what utility to use to analyze...Can I install tkprof locally? I think the newest sql developer has a built in utility so i may be OK.

I thought I was able to do this in the past but I've come up empty searching for solutions this time around.

thanks
