Topic: Memory usage dissimilarity between JDK 1.4.1_01 and JDK 1.3.1_09

Hi,
We are in the testing of an alert mailing system. We use IBM MQ Series, JCSI SMIME (from Wedgetail) , Oracle iFS and Visbroker 5.2 for Java for this product. When testing with JDK 1.4.1_01 windows performance monitoring tool shows a rapid increase in Handle Count and Private Bytes for the process java. Handle Count does not decrease at any stage. But memory some times decreases, even then there is significant increase in memory. But when testing with JDK 1.3.1_09 there is no handle increase and memory is also almost stable. Did anybody experience like problems ? Please tell me abt your idea, thoughts and comments.

Thanx
Smith - (smijithkp@nestec.net)
