Top side entry in FDM?

Hello,

Your expertise in this matter would be really appreciated. I have been asked to create a topside journal entry in FDM for Cost of Sales.

Now, every other source that I look into top side entries made only in HFM, but the financial reporting team has advised that we use these entries in FDM. could you please advise as to how and whether this is possible and what is the process/ logic or rules that define it?
