Too many concurrent updates?
Hi there,
We are facing some problems here regarding many "simultaneous" updates to the same field (same row), and we are seeing too many "waiting for application" when looking at Grid Control.
We are using proper hardware and the memory and CPU is abundant.
Is there any quick way to help to increase the throughput without changing the application's design?
If no, what would be an alternative design?
We are talking here about a product inventory application. And as we have just a few hundreds distinct products and sales figures are crossing the million itens per day, the updates for a single product may get really concurrent!
Any help would be appreciated.
